I want to start by saying that I’m not a journalist. I’m a writer who loves watches. My background is in comic books and poetry, and I have a professional background in marketing and branding in the publishing industry.

I fell into the watch industry unconventionally…by simply opening up about who I am and why a passion for watches, and more importantly, time, is precious to me.

Meeting people in the watch industry, including other enthusiasts, brings me so much joy, as a shared passion immediately connects us. I enjoy writing about products I have a hankering for and the incredible people behind them.

I earned my Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. I have taught creative writing in fiction and poetry and currently work as a full-time staff member in higher education.

I will try to bring all my color, lyricism, and tongue-in-cheekness (yeah, I made it up, bite me) to the world of watches.

Hi, I’m Chris Antzoulis

That is a handsome motherf*cker!
— Sir Quacks A Lot

In 2022, Chris Antzoulis found Sir Quacks A Lot, homeless and without purpose, under the table of his local coffee shop. Sir Quacks A Lot’s flock had abandoned him because of his extreme propensities for violence and aggression. However, once he found a home with Chris, SQA found he could repurpose his rage for good. He’s now Chris’ beloved bodyguard and protector of the realm as Chris writes and creates content for you all.

Services & Transparency

I intend to utilize this space to tell stories about the watch hobby and industry, work with brands I admire, and highlight the people behind it all. This will be a space for me to write articles about what I want in watches and work with brands on advertorials and promotional pieces.

A note to brands and readers: Look y’all, I’m not doing this sh*t for free. I’m a hobbyist and an enthusiast, but on top of all else, I’m a writer with integrity. Assume that any article or review I write has some relationship behind it. A connection has to be made for any of this to happen, and something must be exchanged to honor my time and effort. I aim to work with brands and people I want to work with. So, if you see that most reviews are mainly positive, it’s likely because I don’t want to review watches I don’t like or write articles about brands I’m not fond of. However, I will always do my best to make my relationships transparent to readers. After all, hobbies are supposed to be about having fun and sharing the things we love that bring us together. Finally, because transparency is so important to me, each article involving a relationship with a brand will have a “Transparency” paragraph at the end, explaining that relationship to the best of my ability.

Articles and Advertorials

I love to tell the stories of brands and enthusiasts. These stories connect enthusiasts and sell a brand to customers. If you’d like to collaborate on this type of article, please contact me through my contacts page for pricing.

Pay up, or I’ll cut ya …with my words, of course.

Reviews

I do not believe in accepting money to review a watch, so there’s no charge for this service (so I guess I am doing some sh*t for free). I hope that brands who would like me to review their watches will also take advantage of me writing a story article for them. Contact me through my contacts page to get in touch.

Connect

It’s difficult, especially for new brands, to promote all the great things you’re doing with your watches and get them in front of enthusiasts. I would love to help in this regard. If you need a watch photographer, I will put you in contact with some. If you’d like to speak with enthusiasts, I’d like to help you set something up. I will try my best at anything I can do to help. Contact me through my contacts page to get in touch.
